February Youth Service

Once again the young people did a great job helping organize and participating in youth service. We had a lot of fun... We sang, Shayla and Josh read Psalm 23, and we played a game where one team had to say the name of  a Bible character then the opposite team had to come up with one whose name started with the last letter of the last name said. It was pretty fun! Try it sometime.... It's harder than you think. :)

Feeding the Needy & Homeless

This past Saturday we also did our once a month ministry of feeding those who are homeless and very needy. We passed out 24 lunches of hot soup with a packed lunch, and a New Testament. We recently had 97 NTs donated to us to for this ministry. We were so gad to be able to give away Bibles!! Below are some pictures from the day....

....Great Things He Hath Done....

We just finished a weekend revival with Bro. and Sis. Hedstrom, our conference president. What an amazing time of refreshment and encouragement... in spite of all the sickness that was going around! Each service was visited by the Holy Spirit in a very real and sweet way, and the messages were outstanding!
There is a man who has been coming to our church consistently since Christmas. His name is Glenn. We met him on our feeding the homeless ministry. He lives behind a grocery store in the woods and has a little camp set up there. He is a very sweet man, and although he is homeless, he is not a bum. He does odd jobs when he can find them and takes very good care of himself.
Anyway, I said that to say this. :) .... Friday night after church a bunch of us were in a SS Room and Glenn spoke up with tears in his eyes thanking us for finding him, bringing him back into church, and how that night during the service it was the first time he'd cried tears of joy in a long time. He told us his story in more detail, how his wife had died of cancer, and then he became a drunk, but how he'd been clean from alcohol for 6 months now.
Sunday morning came and Bro. Hedstrom preached a wonderful salvation message and during the altar call Glenn walked up to the front, grabbed Bro. Hedstrom, and told him he needed so be saved. On that morning Glenn got saved, a boy who comes to church with our nephew, and another lady who has been coming prayed as well. It was amazing to see what God did in our church over this past weekend!!

Flower Garden Part 1

We have been wanting to put in a flower bed that runs along beside our trailer...or maybe I should say.... I've been wanting one. :) A couple of weeks ago we took off the grass and broke up the dirt some. Yesterday we worked for several hours on it tilling it with a tiller. The dirt there was not very good so we went and dug up a bunch of top soil from a dirt pile out back and mixed it in, and that seemed to help a great deal. The garden is now ready for planting!! :)  Thank you Michael for working so hard yesterday on your day off!
On Friday our neighbor is bringing his tractor over and going to till up a place to put a vegetable garden.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I am so blessed this Valentines Day to have the most amazing husband I could ever dreamed of. Michael is so good to me and so aware of my needs and what is important to me. He is such a big help around the house and my biggest supporter. I love him with all my heart, and thank the Lord every day for blessing me with such a wonderful man... One who works hard to supply our needs and is dedicated to living his life for God.
I am also thankful for all my wonderful family and friends.... My life has been touched by so many wonderful people!

Robbins

I am so excited about this that I decided I wanted to post it.....Nothing to significant I guess in the big picture, but it definitely made my day. :) I was looking out my kitchen window this morning and counted at least 21 Robbins in the bottom half of our yard. Then I looked up at the other half and there must have been nearly as many up there. :) I had my windows open and could hear the birds singing....It was awesome!! I can't wait to get my fingers in the dirt gardening. :)

Nephews

Today our nephews, Jacob and Josh, came over for a while, which is something I always enjoy...Partly because they are always very entertaining. When they arrived I offered them hot chocolate and Josh wanted some. I fixed his cup and put it on the coffee table for him because he and Jacob had decided to play "Cranium" on the living room floor. You might have to know these to to appreciate all that I am going to say, but anyways, I got a lot of humor out of the two of them.
Every little bit, Josh would run over to the table, grab the cup, and slurp very loudly, then in between slurps declare how very good it was, and how delicious. I couldn't help but laugh. :)
Then one time Jacob barley missed getting his answer right and I hear Josh boldly proclaim in his little "chipmunk" voice, "Don't worry, I couldn't have got that one either." You seriously have got to love them! :) There were several other little things that happened I could write about, but I won't....It is so funny what can come out of a little person's mouth. :)
