FloweringTrees

There are several aspect of spring down here that we do not have back home that I have come to love....No mud, you don't have to wait until the end of May for it, etc. :) But the main reason I think is the fact there are so many flowering trees...They are everywhere!! They're are different shades of purples, pinks, and white.
Perhaps one of my favourites is the dogwoods, which my in laws have three of in their front yard among other trees that I think are so pretty! I took a couple pictures and want to share them with you.....(They don't really capture their beauty however like I wish they did!)

Notice the Carolina blue sky :)

Kimb, it is so good to see that you are "happy where you are planated." You must miss your family and friends back home but you never complain about it and you seem to be really "at home" in NC. The dark purple trees are probably Redbud trees. There is a Redbud Festival (or used to be)in Saxapahaw in May. The dogwoods are beautiful.
