Ready Or Not..... Merry Christmas! :)
Lately around here some of the conversations have revolved around Christmas shopping, what Christmas baking is going to be done, the church's Christmas program, what lists need to be made to do Christmas baking, what can be done to make some needy family's Christmas great, on and on it goes... :)
We had talked about starting to decorate for Christmas the beginning of November, but Michael had yesterday off,and wanted to start, so we put up the Christmas tree in the living room. :) Most of the what you see on the tree we received as a wedding gift from my sweet "college family" up in PA, the Mowerys. [I miss you guys!]

A Captured Moment
We received our wedding picture proofs, and I thought this picture was so extra adorable! It's our nephew Josh, the miniature groom. :)
Pastor Appreciation
Yesterday, Oct. 24th, was Pastor Appreciation Sunday at our church. This year our church did a pounding for them, and then decorated the front of the church with the food, kind of like a Harvest Home. Michael was in charge of organizing it, and we want to say the church family was awesome with to work with, and gave from the heart.
Thank you Pastor Marcus and family for all your dedication and hard work! [And thanks for being such great Bro & Sis. in-laws. :)]

An Encouraging Thought...
I was reading this morning in my devotions in the first couple chapters of Revelation, specifically where Jesus was talking about the 7 Churches, which most believe to represent 7 Church Ages or time periods, and also that we are living in the last one, the Laodiceans Church.
As you read down through all seven churches, it becomes very obvious that ours is spiritually the most dangerous and challenging of all, and yet the most amazing. I read some of what Adam Clark had to say about it to, and he said the same thing. If you read Rev. 3:14-21 it is really amazing.
Basically Jesus is saying this church is careless about there soul, has little spiritual fervency, is spiritual blind, and in the worst state a church could be in ... A rather dim picture! But then in the verses that follow we find Jesus Himself cheering us on....He says we can receive from Him faith and grace that will withstand every trial, Holiness of heart, and spiritual enlightenment so that we don't have to be spiritually blind. He challenges us to be diligent about our spiritual life, and promises to us, we can make it!
The other part that stood out to me was that out of all the 7 Churches, ours is promised the greatest reward. Jesus promised to one Church to those that overcome he would cloth in white garments and not blot out their name from the Book of Life. Another He promised to make them pillars in the Temple, but to us He promised we would sit with Him on His Throne with the Father!
This Laodiceans Church is truly a picture of hope for the worse sinner, grace for the weary saint, unfailing victory, and a promise of sitting with Jesus beside the Father at the throne!! What encouragement!
I know I have rambled on a good deal, and it might not help you that much, but it just jumped out at me this morning in a very real way and I thought I would share it. [A preacher or theologian I am not :)] It gave me a fresh determination and encouragement to make it. :)

* One Month Anniversary*
Today is our one month anniversary!! :) It has been the best month of my life, that is for sure....
We always go everywhere together, do to the fact of one vehicle, and for the most part I don't mind. The only part I do mind is, it makes it almost impossible to get him anything without him knowing. :( Well, with yesterday being Sweetest Day and today our 1 month anniversary, I wanted to get him a nice card. We were at Walmart and I said, "I need to go get some hand soap", and Michael said, "I'll just wait here for you. " I got the soap, and came back, Michael was not there. I thought to myself, "This is a great chance to go get a card." I get to the card section, and so far I haven't been discovered. :) I peak around the card isle only to see Michael peaking around the other end, hoping he doesn't get caught. :) Needles to say, we both had quite a good laugh about it. :)
Friday night we went to the Harvesters Quartet reunion. That was a lot of fun! The current quartet is awesome, and they are very enjoyable! Michael enjoyed seeing the Parker family again, and it was great for me to be able to meet them. They are such sweet people!

~Canadian Thanksgiving~
Yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving. Having been in the US for the past six of them, to me Thanksgiving is now in Nov., however, it did provide us with a good excuse to roast a chicken, eat stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc. :) A mini Thanksgiving....
Michael is extremely sweet, and when he came home from work yesterday he was holding a beautiful fallish' bouquet of flowers, and a Happy Thanksgiving card! :)
We both love fall, and are enjoying the fall weather [although it's gotten kinda warm again :(] The leaves are starting to change and fall, and of course, eating candy corn and drinking apple cider are always enjoyable!
PS. Not to mention it is foot ball season, and Michael loves football. :) And I must admit it's pretty cool too..... LOL

Fall Flower Arrangement
I absolutely loved how this turned out!!! :) And it only cost a whoppin' $5.00 to make..... My dear man is so patient to take me shopping for stuff for the house and to put up with all my nonsense. :) But he never complains and is my biggest fan club! Thanks Babe. :)

Pictures and Vidoes of the Four Monkies. :)
We tried taking some pictures yesterday and thismorning....but those monkies don't stay still for very long. :) LOL. We did get a couple however and I got a couple vidoe clips..... The darker one has red eyes, you might see it if you look close.
This was taken yesterday about 3 hours after they were born. |

They are all doing very well and very active little creatures!! :) Even Michael has fallen in love with them, and wanting to keep them all in one very big cage... LOL. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow..... Kimb
